The drag strip is a favorite of my family's. So we went to the strip this last weekend to satisfy the urge for a while. It was a nice day for the most part. We were dodging rain drops in the later part of the day but otherwise we had a blast.
We love the funny cars out there, they are fast and loud. The kids have to wear ear plugs. I even wear ear plugs because they are so loud.
It is fun to watch them take off at the line.
They love doing burn outs when they are coming up to the line. It is interesting to watch how they line them up.
This guy lost control half way up the track. I did not get that picture though because it was at an awkward angle and did not come out well at all.
What I love about this is the pits are close and they allow people to walk around the pits and visit the drivers. We love Steve Germaine. We visit him every time we are there. He always gives us shirts and signs them for us.
It was a wonderful weekend. I hope everyone else had a great weekend.
